This year’s information day was held on 8th December. More than 1100 parents and primary pupils attended.

The day was very informative. First, our principal Mr Lau Chi Yuen introduced our school mission to the visitors, while our vice-principal Miss Leung Kit Ching spoke on an important topic—Effective Teaching and Learning Strategies, which inspired many of the participants. Mr Leung Wai Keung, the chief advisor of the extra-curricular activities (ECA), explained to the audience about the role and function of the ECA in our school. Dr Raymond Ho Shu Kwong, the chairman of Parent and Teacher Association (PTA), shared his experiences about choosing the right school for his son. He also shared with parents his own impressions of the school. 

In any school, the most important stakeholder must be the students. Chan Yan Yue of 3B and Yip Wing Sze of 3D shared their experiences of school life in Tang Hin.

In the Question and Answer Section, parents actively asked a lot of questions and our principal gave them satisfactory answers. The atmosphere was warm.

We hope that through this kind of activity, we can help those who are interested in our school to gain a better understanding of us.

問：自行分配學位的結果可否在較早階段通知家長，讓家長及學生可早作打算？
答：根據教育局的規定，各中學均不可提早向外公佈自行分配學位結果；須由教育局於七月份連同統一派位結果一併公佈。如希望增加入讀本校機會，應在自行分配學位階段及中央派位階段以本校為第一志願申請。

問：是否所有報名學生皆可面試？
答：所有符合報讀資格的申請者皆可於三月安排面試。面試日期暫定為二零零八年三月八日及三月十五日，以英語、粵語及普通話個別交談日常生活話題，時限約二十分鐘。

問：面試前有甚麼須要準備？
答：為使校方能進一步了解報名學生，面試著重學生的說話技巧及應對能力，並以日所以日常生活為話題，所以家長毋須為子女進行操練。

問：申請者是否必須提交小學的推薦信？
答：申請者並非必須提交小學的推薦信，如申請人具備良好服務紀錄、在課外活動或校外比賽方面表現出色，將可獲優先考慮；此外，本校亦備有學校推薦表格供小學校長填寫。

問：在七月放榜日可否向鄧顯申請「叩門位」？
答：根據教育局指引，學校每班人數不可超過四十人，所以本校只餘極少量後補名額；以去年經驗，在此階段只有四個名額，但半天內即有百多名申請者，競爭激烈。

問：有甚麼文件需要遞交？
答：
(1) 本校「中一自行分配學位申請表」、
(2) 小四至小六成績表副本、
(3) 有關文件副本(如獎狀)、
(4) 回郵信封(申請人必須填寫收件人姓名及地址，並貼上郵票)、
(5) 教育局提供之「中一自行分配學位申請表」。
如能在報名時附上校方推薦書，將獲優先考慮。
